Cultural, Social and Political Thought (MA)

Expand your knowledge of contemporary and classical theoretical frameworks. Discover avant-garde engagements with pressing issues facing a globalized and diverse world in the digital age. Develop a solid theoretical, analytical and critical foundation for your empirical research activities.

In this program, you’ll complete additional coursework from across the university to address key issues in the fields of culture, society and politics.

You can take this interdisciplinary master’s program option in addition to your conventional thesis project.

Find a supervisor

All graduate students in this program must have a faculty member who serves as their academic supervisor. When you apply:

  • you must list a potential supervisor on your application
  • this faculty member must agree to be your supervisor and recommend your admission

To find a supervisor, review the faculty contacts. When you've found a faculty member whose research complements your own, contact them by email.

Special requirements

To apply for this program option, you must be a master’s student in anthropology, English, environmental Թ, history, political science or sociology.

No matter what your main program is, when you apply online, choose the Concentration in Cultural, Social and Political Thought option for Anthropology.
