Child and Youth Care

The School of Child and Youth Care researches practices that support the well-being of children, youth, families and communities. Our community- and social justice-based approach embraces diverse perspectives and life experiences.

You’ll gain a practice-based understanding of issues related to child and youth care. Our programs offer a range of conceptual perspective to expand your personal practices.

Our graduates work in a range of settings, including:

  • mental health services
  • child welfare
  • early years programs
  • post-secondary institutions
  • private practices
  • provincial, national and international governmental agencies
  • non-governmental agencies

Note: the PhD program is undergoing a renewal and not currently accepting applications.
