Education
Why choose the Education minor at UVic?
Explore how people learn and build practical teaching and leadership skills you can use in any community or workplace.
If you’re curious about teaching, training or leading learning in informal settings, this minor gives you a solid foundation in how people learn—and the chance to apply these skills in real community organizations.
You’ll explore learning design, teaching strategies and inclusive, student-centred practice. You’ll also complete a hands-on internship or volunteer placement where you’ll support real learners in schools, community programs, museums, youth centres and more.
